Women and War
A. Susan Williams, "Women in History" series, Wayland Polishers, East Sussex, England, 1989. Hardback.

The emphasis is on the first and second World Wars and the various ways in which mainly European women were involved in the effort. It also traces the development of the women's peace movement. Short background information, personalities, historic photos and posters make this a good, small library addition. A page of project suggestions and a glossary qualifies this for a curriculum review.
