An International Handbook by the San Francisco Bay Area Girls' Education Network

The Guide presents short one page vignettes and case studies that depict the reality of girls' lives in receiving an equitable education in different cultural settings around the world. The stories are followed by discussion questions and activities. This format is intended to encourage those reading the guide to develop awareness and strategies for action in their own communities. It also can be used in classrooms to provide cross-cultural comparisons and explore how general issues, such as access, are played out in a U.S. context.
